Ambiguity Competence for Education and Society
ACES helps educators turn uncertainty into opportunity. By supporting teachers to address complex and sensitive topics, the project fosters critical thinking, empathy, and active citizenship in the classroom.

In today’s fast-changing world, students need more than knowledge; they need the skills to navigate uncertainty, understand different perspectives, and engage in meaningful dialogue. ACES brings these skills into everyday learning.
Our ambition
We aspire to empower educators to confidently address complexity in the classroom, helping students develop the skills to think critically, embrace diverse perspectives, and actively participate in democratic life.
Our purpose
We work towards our ambition:
- By training educators to address complexity in the classroom
- By empowering pupils to develop critical thinking and empathy
- By supporting schools to foster inclusive and reflective learning environments
